Sokhoern's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to buy a decent motorbike to commute to work.
Sokhoern's Group's story
Sokhoern is aged 54 years and married with two dependent children. She lives in a rural village of the Kampong Cham province’s Kang Meas district, earning a living through farming rice and selling grocery items. Her husband works as a worker to help earn income to support the family. Together, they can earn about 107,000 KHR (Cambodian riels) per day from the current business and can save about 40,000 KHR each day for their future needs. This is Sokhoern’s group loan with Kiva’s partner, VisionFund, and she and her group member have been members of VisionFund for one loan cycle. She successfully used the loan to better her living conditions. Now leading her group to apply for a loan, Sokhoern will use her portion to buy a decent motorbike for her to commute to work. She hopes this loan will enable her to have a proper vehicle to commute.
