Nwirhan Group's story
The Nwirhan group consists of four women from Al-Hodeidah, Yemen. They applied for a loan of 130,000 YER (Yemen rials). Seham, a 31-year-old married woman from Al-Hodeidah, is the leader of the group. She is the mother of three children. Three years ago, she started up her business in selling ice cream after her husband became disabled to cover the household expenses. She had no choice but to work and provide her family with food and clothing. Despite her strong determination, she managed to succeed in the first business of her entire life. Recently, Seham wants to start selling sweets in new quarters and places in her city, and this is why she applied for a loan of 40,000 YER to buy sweets for resale. She looks forward to improving her family's living conditions.
