Malahat's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy new fruit tree seeds and make her assortment of greengrocery wider.

Malahat's story

Malahat is 43 years old. She is married and has two daughters. The family is IDP and lives in IDP settlement. Her husband is a laborer. She is a gardener and raises fruit trees (figs and quince) and has sold fruits at the local bazaar for 15 years. Her monthly income is 150AZN. Azerbaijan people know that figs and quince are very useful for health. They like to eat these fruits fresh and use them to prepare quince or figs jam or pie. People drink quince with hot milk when they catch a cold, and recover after this drinking. Malahat’s fruit assortment for selling isn’t wide enough and that’s why her income doesn’t increase. She applied for a 2000AZN loan in order to buy new fruit tree seeds and make an assortment of her greengrocery at the bazaar wider. She hopes that one day she will be able to recover her previous happy life.
