Salvador's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to grow 14,000 square meters of corn.
Salvador is 71 years old. He is a farmer who wasn't able to go to school as his parents couldn't afford to send him. Instead they led him to work at a young age. He is married and has a son who hasn't lived with them for many years. His son is also married and went off to live a long ways away. Only a grandson lives with them as they are close enough to a school for him to study. Salvador was taught about farming at a very early age. He started to work when he was 10 years old. His parents taught him and today he cultivates 14,000 square meters that he rents. Each year in January and February he prepares the land. He gets up very early to care for his crops while they are growing. Salvador will invest the loan to plant the 14,000 square meters with corn. He does not have enough money to do this so he is requesting the loan. With the profits he can help his family get ahead. Salvador hopes that one day his grandson will graduate as he never had this opportunity as a youth. So he wants his grandson to be better prepared. He knows he can achieve this with the help of this loan.
