Om-Fuad Group's story
This group is called Om-Fuad, and consists of five women who live in Sana`a, Yemen. They have requested a group loan, and they will hold each other accountable for the loan repayment. Amal is the leader of this group. She is a 28-year-old married woman with a child. She is a very active woman. Amal is an uneducated woman from a poor family. Her husband is an immigrant and gets a small salary that is not enough to cover all the family's needs, so Amal decided to apply for a 50,000 YER (Yemen rials) loan from AMB to buy furniture and home appliances to improve the living conditions in her house. Taking this loan will allow her and her family to feel comfortable so they can enjoy living in their house. The extra two people who appear in the photo are group member's children.
