Hawah's story

Hawah is a single mother of one child. Her child goes to school. Hawah also takes care of an additional family member (young brother). She has a business of selling used clothes and has been in this business for 4 years. She generates additional income from farming. She has applied for a loan of 300,000 UGX from MCDT SACCO to buy more bales of used clothes. She generates additional income from farming. She moves door-to-door selling used clothes and sells on a retail basis six days out of every week. Her major business challenges include seasonality and defaulters. She is aspiring to become a wholesaler and also to get a permanent business premises. She resides in a rented house and the family has access to electricity but not piped water. Her monthly expenses includes rent and school fees.
