A loan helped to purchase a mini-bus.
Mikheili is a 26-year-old young man, who lives in Akhaltsikhe city. He lives with his parents. His mother works as a cleaner and gets 240 GEL monthly and his father is an electrician, whose generated salary consists of 500 GEL. Mikheili is unemployed nowadays, and has a great desire to start his own activity. He couldn’t receive a loan from the local financial institutions because of their requirements to have business experience or stable revenue, until the Start Up program began, which is a joint product of Kiva and Credo. The program allows the rural poor to get a chance for starting or re-starting business. He requested a loan of 2300 USD to purchase a mini-bus, transport cargoes and also rent it after getting private orders. This will give him a chance to earn income and become financially independent. In regards to the Start Up program, Mikheili will be able to make savings and provide a better future and tackle financial difficulties.
