Betty's story

Betty, 38 years old, is married and lives with her husband and children, 14 and 7 years old, living comfortably in her own house. Betty's business is the sale of food. This is her principal source of income. Her work begins with the purchase of chicken of good weight, which ensures a good price for her sales. She supplements her food sales with the sale of fresh drinks. Currently she works with the help of one more person who is in charge of roasting the chicken. She has had this business for nearly eight years and so far it has be going very well. She likes her business since it allows her to make sufficient income to support her husband with the household expenses. It also allows her to spend time at home and care for and attend to her children, whom she loves very much, and hopes to get them ahead. She has plans to expand her business and establish a restaurant selling regional foods in her house. She is request a loan of 2,800 soles, therefore is hoping for your contribution in order to continue with her goals. In addition, she says that she feels great with her communal bank since she considers it a united group.
