Alicia's story

Mrs. Alicia is a partner in the Talented Women Communal Bank. Alicia lives at Jr. 7 of junio, Number 649, in the Callería district of Ucayali. She is 51 years old, and a mother of five. Her husband is a petroleum technician. Alicia used her first loan of 300 soles from Manuela Ramos to invest in food sales. Now Alicia has a hardware shop, and she’s happy to see it growing day by day. With a loan of 1,500 soles, Alicia will invest in five rolls of barbed wire of various grades, six dozen light switches, three dozen lightbulbs, seven dozen fluorescent lights, 15 hammers, and other supplies. She’ll repay the loan in four months. Alicia is very grateful to be a member of an institution like Manuela Ramos. Thanks to her participation, she’s been able to grow her business and improve her economic stability. Her greatest wish is to continue to grow as a micro entrepreneur.
