A loan helped to buy farming supplies.

Campos Verdes Group's story

Maria is 42 years old and a single mother with a son. She lives in the town of Intibucá and has been farming potatoes, cauliflower, and broccoli for six years. She sells her harvest at the local market and earns her own income. She is asking for a group loan of 12,000 Lempiras so she can buy fertilizer, insecticides, herbicides, and other supplies for her vegetable crops. She wants to expand her farmland and her goal is to buy some land on which to build a house. The group she is a part of is called Campos Verdes and is made up of Maria and Juan. They raise vegetables and live in the same community. The total amount of the loan is 22,000 Lempiras to buy fertilizer, compost and other supplies so she can maintain her potato, cauliflower, and broccoli crop.
