Las Elegidas Group's story
The communal bank "Las Elegidas" will begin its third loan cycle with Pro Mujer as part of the Senkata regional center. It consists of eight members and is led by a board of directors, where Señora Victoria is the president. The businesses of the members of the group are varied; among them are sports clothing, selling plastic items, selling food, selling smoothies, butcher shop, electronic repair services, selling clothing, and knitting sweaters. The loan that they will take out will benefit these little microentrepreneurs, of which Señora Victoria is a member. She comments that she joined Pro Mujer two loan cycles ago, entering at the invitation of a loan officer of the institution who went to visit her in her home. At this time she has a business of providing repair services for electronic equipment; she makes it known that she and her husband began this business together, since he knew the technology, which she learned little by little, and now she is the right hand of her husband. The loan that she will take out is to increase their capital to buy cables and tools, which she will acquire in the shops in the city of Oruro and then will put in their sales space. This form of work allows her to generate resources to support their family, since she is married and has three children. When she is asked what she likes about Pro Mujer, she responds that she likes the health area that the institution offers. In the photo is a woman who accompanied the group. She is wearing a black sweater with white bands.
