A loan helped to buy printing equipment to start her own business.
Nolvia Marisela's story
After finishing high school, Nolvia, 22, received her college degree in science and letters and a technical degree in computers with the unconditional support of her parents, whom she admires and respects. Nolvia is in a common-law marriage, and her husband teaches at a local school to help his wife provide everything needed for the family's well being. Nolvia has drive and an entrepreneur's vision and wants to take advantage of her degree, as she noticed as a student the need for a computer and printing center for working professionals and other things the students looked for constantly. Therefore, this young entrepreneur has decided to open a small printing business, after identifying the local need through neighbors, students, friends, and others who require professional work. Her goals and plans are to grow her business to include not only printing, but also equipment sales (computers, printers, keyboards, hard drives. etc.) that would generate more business income and more demand. She dreams of eventually buying and building out a space so that she doesn't have to rent and could build her future children's assets by building her own house.
