Tea's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy calves and feed for them.

Tea's story

Tea, age 30, is from the Sagarejo district. She is married with two school age children; she lives with her retired parents. Tea leads the family agricultural business, and breeds cows, whose milk is sold locally. In addition, Tea has several chickens and sometimes sells eggs from her house. Tea’s husband serves local people as a taxi driver with his own car and earns daily money. Now, Tea is requesting a loan to expand the family agricultural business and buy calves. Part of the loan will be used for buying feed for cattle. After purchasing livestock, she will raise them and sell them in the fall season for a higher price. It will generate an income, and the new business initiative financed with the Kiva start-up loan will significantly improve her living conditions.
