Kushanda Group's story
Lillian is married and has five children aged 21, 15, 11, 6 and 3 respectively. The eldest has since completed secondary education. She is into rural farming in the southeastern part of Zimbabwe, called Chipinge. She has been into farming for the past fifteen years. She produces sugar-beans, tomatoes, maize, wheat and groundnuts for the local market. She has no other source of income as her spouse also assists in the family business. Lillian requested a loan of $500 to purchase seed and fertilizer so that she can produce quality products that will fetch higher prices on the market. In the future, she will be able to send her children to better schools, and business will be up and stable. She is also a member of Kushanda Group.
