A loan helped to buy goods for her husband's general store.
Shaheen Group's story
Shaheen is a 52-year-old housewife. She lives with her husband, a daughter and three sons in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. Since 2009, her husband has had a general store and he works very hard to meet his family needs. He needs additional capital for the growth of his business. His wife Shaheen is a member of a two-person lending group and she has requested a loan from KIVA partner BRAC Pakistan. With the loan, her husband can buy a variety of goods for his general store. The expanded inventory will allow him to satisfy his clients more professionally as well as to increase his savings to provide a better future for his children. Shaheen and her husband are very hopeful that the loan will be a lucky and productive one for their family.
