Santos, age 50, is an entrepreneurial man who, in addition to working as a security guard, has the energy to market natural medicinal products. As far as school is concerned, he managed to get through 8th grade, which has been enough to get him the job he has. He is married and his wife is busy with the artisanal crafts and natural medicines business. Their children have already started their own families and he is all his wife has to depend on. He works as a security guard, working every other day. On his off days, he makes use of the time to sell natural medicine products, which he buys at a considerable price from the distributors and sells at a profit. He has one year of experience in this business, making sales in the community and surrounding areas, door to door and by order. They also have a business selling clay crafts, but this they only do during the Christmas season. He needs this loan in order to invest in his business making clay crafts to take advantage of the Christmas season when there is a major demand for these items. With financing, he'll be able to invest and make extra money for his family to cover basic necessities, as well as make his business self-sustaining. Santos wishes to have his own house, as he currently rents, and plans to do this by strengthening his productive capacity. This way, he will make the income he needs to go on saving and in the near future make his dream a reality.
