Noyaa Group's story
These are ladies who are part of the group Noyaa, which is composed of three individuals living in the same neighborhood. The group’s representative, Patience, is 49 years old. Patience never attended school but has eight years of work experience in selling new wax prints (clothing). She is single and has three dependent children, all in school. In order to provide for her children, Patience (standing right in the photo) has been selling new wax prints. Patience buys wax prints from the market in Ghana. With the goal of bolstering her business, Patience, together with the other members of this group who are also selling fish and batik fabric, is seeking their seventh loan of GHS 3,100 from ID-Ghana and her second loan from Kiva. Their prior loan has been duly repaid.
