Sembrando Esperanza Group's story

The communal association "SEMBRANDO ESPERANZA" begins its second cycle in Pro Mujer, as a part of the Centro Focal de Villa Exaltacion. It is comprised of eight members and is led by a board of which Angelica is the President. Among the various businesses that the members of the communal association carry out are: selling lingerie, selling toys, a neighborhood store, weaving blankets and sweaters, selling shoes, selling fish, and bricklayer service. The loan that they will take out will benefit small micro-entrepreneurs of which Angelica is an integral part. She indicates that it has been a year since she joined Pro Mujer, having entered by an invitation from a niece who is a member of the institution. Today she has a business selling shoes; she discloses that she undertook this business twenty years ago upon seeing that this product was very attractive to the La Paz market. The loan that she is now taking out is for capital increase (purchase of shoes) that she will acquire from vendors from the City of La Paz and will subsequently sell in her retail space. This kind of work allows her to generate resources to support her family, as she is a single woman and has a son. When she was asked what she likes about Pro Mujer, she responded that she enjoys the healthcare field that the institution offers.
