Marina's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to purchase a car for her husband to start taxi business.

Marina's story

Marina is a 41-year-old married woman from a small village in the Khelvachauri district. She has a large family: husband, three children, and parents-in-law. Her parents-in-law are provided with a retirement pension. The main source of income for the family is their agricultural activities. They have a plot of agricultural land where different kinds of fruits and vegetables are grown. They all work hard and always have high quality products, which are sold to local retailers. As the income is only seasonal, Marina decided to start a family business with a loan. The Start Up program, which is a joint initiative with Kiva and Credo, enables her to get a loan of $ 3,600 for purchasing a car. After purchasing a car, her husband will start working as a taxi driver and will transport people to generate income. The Start Up program will be a great support for such a large family.
