María Amparo's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to buy products to make bread and tamales, such as flour, firewood, sugar, lard, etc.
María Amparo's story
María is 36 years old, attended school through the ninth grade, is divorced, and lives with her mom and a brother. She is the mother of a seven-year-old boy who is in the second grade. She has a tamale and bread business. It has been a family business for many years now; they have always done this work and her mom is part of the business. The loan she is asking for is to buy products to make bread and tamales, such as flour, firewood, sugar, lard, etc. Her income and her family's upkeep depend on this business. Her dream is for her business to be even bigger and to sell her products in other cities and for her son to be able to go to school and get a good education and become a professional. She uses her earnings to cover the household necessities and to increase her production of bread and tamales.
