Total loan: $1,025

Palomar, Departamento Autónomo de La Paz, Bolivia / Agriculture

Raul's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase better seeds that will produce a higher quality product that can be harvested cleanly and will not harm the environment.

Raul's story

Raul is married and has two adult children. He lives in a one-room home with brick walls and a dirt floor. His home is located in Palomar, in the city of La Paz. He currently works as a farmer for more than 10 hours each day. His income supports his family. His wife helps him, but they are both elderly. Their income goes to paying for food and basic services. Raul will use the loan to purchase better seeds that will save them a lot of work because they do not require much irrigation, they can be harvested in a shorter amount of time, and they do not harm the environment. Raul's dream is to purchase more land to increase his income and, later, make a living by raising cattle. This is his first loan with IMPRO and KIVA.
