Maminata's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to purchase spices.
Born in April 1969 in Sikasso, Maminata is married and the mother of four children. She lives with her husband and children in a nuclear family in Lafiabougou, one of the popular neighborhoods of Sikasso in the third administrative region of Mali. After having attempted several businesses without success, Maminata has been in the business of selling spices for more than five years. She maintains a good reputation in her area of purchase and resale of spices from home and at the market where she has a stall. In order to better meet the needs of her ever-growing customer base, she decided to partner with the microfinance organization Soro Yiriwaso a few years ago. After an individual loan that was fully repaid, she is on her second individual loan with the organization. This second loan will allow Maminata to increase her business funds and purchase 10 buckets of peanut paste, 4 cartons of Maggi cubes, 3 cartons of concentrated tomatoes, 4 bags of onions, and 5 cartons of mustard in Sikasso. She sells for cash and credit to a customer base made up of all social classes. With this loans, she hopes to earn an average monthly profit of 50,000 francs CFA which she will use to help with the family expenses, pay back her loan, and reinvest in her business.
