A loan helped to buy another water storage tank to supply more water.

Kilimanjaro Group's story

Mwanahamis, who is in her late 30s, is married with three daughters who are in school. For eight years now, Mwanahamis has been involved with three businesses: a clothes business, selling tap water and motorbike transportation. She is doing fine with all activities and has even been able to employ a few helpers. Mwanahamis works from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm each working day and is able to receive a fair profit each month. This will be her 13th loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. With the previous loans, all of which she managed to pay back successfully, she bought two motorbikes for transportation and replenished her clothes business with new fashions. Mwanahamis used her business profit to buy a plot of land where she built a family house. She covered school fees for her daughters and part of her household expenses. Mwanahamis will use this loan to buy another water storage tank to supply more water. She dreams of starting a new poultry business. She will share this loan with her loan group KILIMANJARO, which includes 11 members. The members of the group will hold each other accountable for paying back the loan.
