Saadani Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy 500 chicks and chicken feed for feeding chickens in order to sell their eggs.

Saadani Group's story

Regina, who is in her early 60s, is married with seven children; only two are still in school and the rest are grown-ups. She has been running several businesses, including selling chicken eggs, pork, and clothes door to door. She has been in her businesses for ten years now. She works from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily, and is able to make a very good monthly profit. This will be Regina's 10th loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. She used the previous loans to buy more chicks to raise and then sell their eggs, more pigs to slaughter and sell the meat (pork), and clothes to sell from door to door. She has paid back all her loans successfully. She used the profits to buy a fridge, pay college fees for the two children who are still studying, renovated her house which was leaking, and cover household expenses. She will use this loan to buy 500 chicks and chicken feed for feeding chickens in order to sell their eggs. She dreams of building a shop for her businesses. Regina will share this loan with her loan group, Saadani, which has four members who will hold each other accountable for paying back the loan.
