Las Constantinas Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy wool.

Las Constantinas Group's story

The "LAS CONSTANTINAS" communal bank will be starting its second cycle with Pro Mujer, as part of the Collpani centre. It is made up of eight members and is run by a board of directors of which Sonia is the President. The businesses which the members of the communal association run are varied and among them are: selling bricks, macrame blankets, selling sweets, photocopying, knitting baby clothes, selling food, selling fruit. The loan they will take out will benefit small businesswomen of which Sonia is an example. She says she joined Pro Mujer five months ago after being invited by a friend who is a member of the institution. Currently she runs a business knitting and selling baby clothes. She learnt this trade several years ago, having learnt the knitting skills in a previous job. The loan she will take out is to increase capital to buy wool which she will buy from the wholesale stores in the city of El Alto and will use to make goods to sell. This kind of work allows her to generate income to maintain her household, since she lives with a partner. When asked what she likes about Pro Mujer, she says she likes the training in loans and health.
