Yawo was born in 1962 and is a driver by profession. He is married and has six children who are dependants; four of them go to school. Aside from his main activity, he stocks corn for resale during periods where there is a shortage of it, and he also raises pigs. He began his business in 2003 in Aného (a town which lies around 50 km from Lomé) and gets his supplies in Anfoin (a town which is 15km away from Aného). He is helped by two people and is requesting a first loan from WAGES to buy more stock. The profit will help him to buy more pigs and stock more sacks of corn. He is also hoping to be able to provide for this children's health and schooling costs. Yawo belongs to and is in charge of a group made up of women and men. The majority of them are traders or growing cassiva, chilis...Like their leader, they also home to ensure a good future for their children, while also maintaining their businesses in the long term.
