Avtandil's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to purchase a tractor to perform work on the land of nearby farmers.
Avtandil is 56 years old. He lives in the village of Kveda Sazano with his wife, two sons, daughter-in-law and a grandchild. Avtandil has chronic health problems and gets small-sized assistance from the government. In spite of his health problems, Avtandil works hard and is busy with agricultural activities. Specifically, he owns a vineyard and grows walnut trees in his plot of land. He works hard the whole year and harvests the quality products which are sold to retailers. Additionally, the family runs an animal husbandry business and breeds two pigs. The family lives below the poverty line, and according to government estimates, they belong to “vulnerable poor” category. With this loan, Avtandil would like to purchase a tractor. He will use it to perform agricultural work on the land of nearby farmers, mainly in the tilling and sowing seasons, and will be paid by the landlords. He will save any profits generated by the tractor and continue to cultivate his own land. His son will assist him in this business as well. He expects that this loan will significantly increase his family's income and enable him to provide better living conditions for his family.
