Noemi Isabel's story
Noemí is a young woman who is married and has a 3 year old daughter who she looks after and cares for. She lives with her family in Latacunga, the capital of the province of Cotopaxi. This is one of the provinces that form the Andes Mountain region of Ecuador which in the last years has developed considerably. It is considered one of the most important provinces of the area thanks to it's flower, metallurgical and agro industries, mining, agriculture and livestock raising. In addition there are business establishments whose incomes that have transformed the city into a business center with lots of opportunity to get ahead. The main obstacles that Noemí has encountered are the lack of resources and credit to start her business. She has always thought that she should help contribute to the household expenses to better the family's quality of life. For this reason Noemí needs a loan which allows her to start a business which she learned as a child, which is selling fruit and vegetables. She has projected and with the experience she has acquired that the business will generate income to improve her life style. Also this work will make her feel useful. She will be able to buy some things for her daughter and some implements for the house that she has not bought due to a lack of money.
