Yovana's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to buy organic manure.
Yobana, 31, is married to Emiliano, 43, and is mother of three children living with her in a house she owns. When she turned 18 thanks to some land she inherited from her grandparents she found a way of supporting her family once she got married. She’s has almost 13 years’ experience in this line of work doing various tasks with firm help from her husband who is a big help to her. She comments that she likes her work because it’s a type of work the entire family can participate in. However, the rainy season makes doing work normally very difficult. As time has passed, she’s noticed that her soil needs to be strengthened to optimize production which is why she wants to acquire sacks of organic manure to insure quality cobs of corn. Her future plans are aimed at opening a food market to generate income alongside the field work. This is her second Kiva loan and she feels grateful for the financial support she gets to continue forward. On this occasion she wants to have 2,000 new soles to rely on to buy organic manure.
