Nelly Evangelina's story
Nelly is a cheerful, determined and enterprising 30-year-old woman who never stops dreaming of bigger things. She has completed her primary education. She is married and she has the support of her husband as he also does the same work. From their marriage they have three children who go to a primary school in the community and there are just the five of them living in the house. Nelly has a lot of experience in this business which she learnt from a very young age, having it instilled into her by a friend and neighbour of the family. Once she had learnt the business she decided to continue with it, as her parents provided her with a plot of land which they gave her as an inheritance so she could cultivate it and earn her own income. The plot is 15 minutes away from her home. Nelly is asking for help to buy fertilizers, manure and pesticides to improve her coffee crops, since these days these types of products are expensive and necessary to guarantee the production as a whole. Her dreams for the future are to have a large coffee plantation which will continue to give them blessings, support the family and can be worked from generation to generation by her children, her grandchildren and the next generations who will be able to reap the benefits of her and her husband's hard work and determination.
