Custom Women B Group's story

In the photo are members of the Custom Women B Group. They are small-scale businesswomen based in Waterloo, a town in western Sierra Leone. They are requesting a loan of 3,700,000 Sierra Leonean Leones (SLL) for the entire group. With the help of this loan, they will be able to further expand their respective businesses, make more profit, and consequently improve their living conditions. Fatmata is the featured leader of this group. Fatmata, aged 35, was born in Kambia town in northern Sierra Leone but she is currently residing in Waterloo together with her husband and five children. Her husband is a fisherman and her children attend primary school and secondary school. For the past 18 years, Fatmata has been selling fish. With this loan, she will buy a large quantity of fish to add to her current stock.
