Murad's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to buy two milk cows.
Murad is 49 years old and married with two sons. He earns a living by breeding cows and cattle, and sells their milk and milk products as well as meat to local butchers. He has fifteen years of experience in this field, thanks to his father who taught him how to look after cattle. Murad usually buys small cows, raises and fattens them for five or six months, and resells them for a more profitable price to butchers. Milk and yogurt he sells to neighbors. He earns about 180 AZN (Azerbaijan New Manat) a month, in part because milk, yogurt, and meat are very popular products in Azerbaijan. People use meat in everyday national dishes such as pilau and dolma, and always use yogurt. Milk products are seen as very healthy and used daily. Murad is requesting a loan of 600 AZN to buy two milk cows. This will be his first loan. He has a good client history and plans to use the additional income he earns to care for his family.
