Yesenia Lucia's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to stock her grocery store with rice, cooking oil, beans, frozen goods, and candy among other products.

Yesenia Lucia's story

Yessenia Lucia is an older adult, married with two minor children, originally from one of the municipalities of Chinandega located in the western area of the country. She is a small business owner with a grocery store in her home that offers consumer products such as cooking oil, corn, eggs, bread, candy, detergents, gas, matches, bags of milk, tomatoes, onions, bell peppers, plantains, clothing, notebooks, frozen goods, among many others. She does her shopping in cash in wholesale markets and through distributors who deliver by truck among others. Her sales are through cash and credit. She has permanent and temporary clients. The goal for this loan is to invest in her store, stocking it with different consumer products that are in demand and lacking in sufficient supply to meet the needs of customers. Yessenia very much appreciates the support Kiva investors are offering to low-income people in her country.
