Douglas Javier's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support
A loan helped to invest in both activities: to buy pigs and to buy bulk grains like corn and beans.
Douglas Javier's story
Douglas Javier is 29 years old, he is single and he is from Chinandega, a borderline region in the northern part of the country characterized by the trading of livestock, gold and merchandise in general. Douglas buys bulk grains from wholesale suppliers -like beans and corn- and he then sells them directly from his home to local producers who pay him either in cash or credit. Douglas collects the payments weekly or every two weeks. In addition, Douglas also buys pigs from neighboring counties, and sells them to butchers and traders, who also buy from him either in cash or credit. Douglas began his business with personal savings, and one of his dreams is to own a house. The objective of this loan is to invest in both activities, given that demand is increasing and Douglas needs to be able to cover all of his customers’ orders.
