A loan helped to build a latrine and buy its accessories.

Channa's story

Channa, 38, is married and the mother of two children, one of whom is married. Channa only studied up to the fifth class of elementary school. She stayed out of school when her parents were experiencing financial difficulties, so she learned to cultivate the land at a very young age. This is a tradition of family farming, which has been passed on for generations. Thanks to her parents and to her business, she is able to make a decent income to maintain her household. At the moment Channa, being a good homemaker who is always dedicated to daily household chores and who provides care to her family members, has requested a loan to build a latrine and buy its accessories. This will protect them from disease and keep the environment clean by releasing fewer pollutants. Channa will use with the remaining balance of loan to pay for her household expenses. She is very happy and thankful because HKL has provided her a special interest rate on this loan due to its intended purpose. She awaits your kindness and relies on your generosity.
