Bobojon's story

Bobojon is 29 years old. Bobojon works and lives with his wife and two-year-old daughter in the village of Hamadomi. For three years, he has worked as a teacher in a secondary school. Bobojon wants to additionally take up crop farming, like his fellow villagers do. Most of the population of Tajikistan practices farming and animal husbandry. The reason why the population prefers this kind of work is that Tajikistan has an advantageous climate and natural environment. With his savings, Bobojon purchased a 1.5 hectare plot of land and wants to sow millet and onions there. In order to fulfill his goal, he is taking out a loan and is planning to buy millet and onion seeds with that money. He hopes his work will not be without reward and that next year, he will receive a bountiful harvest. Thanks to the loan, he will have an additional source of income, which will help him greatly improve his life and the life of his family.
