Four Sisters Group's story
Greetings from Zimbabwe! This is 37-year-old Tendai from Harare. She is a widow, with two children, both attending school. She also looks after her parents. She is a member of the Four Sisters Group. Tendai runs a clothing business, selling jeans, dresses, trousers, and groceries. The business has been in operation for eight years. She says the main challenge she faces is stiff competition with other traders. Tendai has requested a loan of $750 to buy new trousers, jeans, and groceries like baked beans and cooking oil for resale. She says the extra income generated as a result of this loan will allow her to increase the family's cash flow and pay school fees. In the future Tendai plans to have her own buildings.
