Mariam's story

Mariam is an experienced farmer from Mrgavet village in the Ararat region of Armenia. She lives with her three sons. The youngest is a contract serviceman. To meet her family's daily needs, Mariam cultivates tomatoes, eggplant and peppers as well as peaches and apricots. Horticulture is an important source of income for the family. Mariam's sons assist her greatly in the everyday activities of horticulture. They help her bring her agricultural products to the local market. Mariam needs to make some investments in her agribusiness for it to function in a sustainable way. A loan of $3,000 (US) will be a huge support to this hardworking woman and her family. It will enable her to renovate the greenhouse, replace the soil in the greenhouse, where the plants are cultivated, and purchase fertilizers. This family relies on the goodwill of lenders and will be very thankful to them for their help in collecting the needed amount to sustain the family's agribusiness.
