Sidra's story

Sidra is a 30 year old housewife. She lives in Lahore, Pakistan. She is the mother of two children. Her husband owns a general store in the market which is the only source of income for the family. He offers a variety of daily use products in the shop. His monthly net income is inadequate to meet the family needs. Presently, he is interested in offering more variety to his customers which will help him to increase his net income and savings as well. However, due to the lack of funds he finds it difficult. Therefore, his wife Sidra has requested a loan from Kiva's partner BRAC Pakistan so that she can help her husband to purchase a variety of products to resell in the market at a profitable price. He would be purchasing greater variety of goods such as biscuits, ice cream, flour, candies, rice, bread etc. This will help him to increase his customers and to increase his net income as well. With the profit amount her husband wants to grow his business in the future. Sidra is very thankful to Kiva and BRAC Pakistan
