Khetreswari Self Help Group's story
In 2012, 10 women from a village in Odisha stepped out and formed a group named Khetreswari Self Help Group. They help each other, share their problems and solve them together. They celebrate their festivals together in their village. Rankamani is the president of this group and has one cow. She sells milk in her village. She wants to purchase one more cow so that she can sell more milk and earn more profit. She provides vaccine and fodder to her cow when it's required. Early in the morning, she takes the cow to graze in the fields and returns by noon. Then she cooks food for her family. She resumes taking care of her cow, feeding it at home. Her husband assists her in selling the milk. In this way, she is earning to control her cash flow, which is not sufficient to manage her daily activities. She wants to enlarge her business, so she wants to purchase one more cow. She, along with her group has requested a loan of 150,000 INR for her group so that they can earn more and control their family's cash flow.
