Benedicte Jeanne's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy bunches of plantains and sacks of cassava and cocoyam in bulk.

Benedicte Jeanne's story

Jeanne is a 55-year-old married mother of four children between the ages of 17 and 32. She also has two other people under her care. Jeanne has been a trader in one of the capital city's markets for four years. She has been selling fresh produce (macabo, cassava, couscous) for five years. She is looking to take out a new loan because she would like to buy bunches of plantains and sacks of cassava and cocoyam in bulk in order to re-sell them across several stalls. But her limited capital restricts her from doing this, which is where the need for this loan to bolster her business comes in. This loan will increase her capital, her sales, and thereby her profits. She will save these profits so that at some point in the future, she can buy herself a motorcycle, which will allow her to make home deliveries.
