San Cristobal De Aparquilla Group's story

The members belong to the “San Cristóbal de Aparquilla” communal bank located in Anta District belonging to Anta Province and Cusco Department. María’s 51-years-old, married and mother of six children. She works in her business raising animals to sell. She has guinea pigs and pigs that she raises and fattens up to then sell in various street markets. She supports her children by means of this small business. She likes to move ahead in her free time and her dream is to own a locale in which to sell her pigs and guinea pigs. She’s asking for the loan to buy piglets and guinea pigs. She thanks those who share her dream by this means and commits to make her payments as scheduled. The other members sell pigs, sell chicha [corn-based traditional beverage], run grocery store and work in agriculture. The members in the photo attached to the group photo took their photo afterwards because they asked permission due to work.
