A loan helped to buy drinks.

Lila's story

Lila is 63 years old and has six adult children on their own, so she only lives with her husband. Lila sells drinks of different sizes, brands, and flavors, with which her customers refresh themselves and quench the thirst that comes from the intense climate in her region. She has one freezer consigned to her by the beer company, where each day she places the beer and soft drinks that she sells from her home throughout the day. Her main customers are her neighbors, friends, and relatives. She has been doing this for three years and gets help from her children. She also raises regional products. She likes her work very much because she can have free time, and also wants to grow her business, since she considers it to produce very good earnings. She is asking for a loan of S/ 3,800 and she is very happy to know that she has financial support so she can continue with her work. She is also committed to making her payments on time. She will use the money to buy drinks of various brands, flavors, and sizes so she can continue working.
