Shameem's story

Shameem is a 32-year-old married woman. She has been successfully running a small general store with her husband at the corner of her house. Her husband also assists her by purchasing stock of goods from the market as he has maintained many contacts over the years. She is a mother of four children and is motivated to provide her family with good quality food, clothing and health care. She wants to grow her business so she requested a loan of 40,000 Pakistani rupees (PKR) to buy packs of salt, biscuits and beverages to meet with the increasing demand at her store. She is expecting a boost in her earnings and dreams of expanding her business in the future. She is in her fourth loan cycle with a good repayment history.
