Junta De Saneamiento Caaguazu Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to drill another well in order to meet user demand.

Junta De Saneamiento Caaguazu Group's story

The Caaguazu Sanitation Board is located in the city of Ñemby, which is adjacent to the city of Villa Elisa. In 1993, the Board was established in order to address the need for accessing safe drinking water. The residents of this neighborhood held fundraising activities to acquire the money needed to dig a well and install plumbing, functions that fall under the authority of the Board. An artesian well and reservoir was built to support 180 users at the beginning. There are currently 3,343 users, four wells, four reservoirs, an elevated tank that holds 50,000 liters, and a well-organized executive committee. Thanks to these efforts, many families have vital access to water. The loan being requested from Fundación Paraguaya will be used to drill another well in order to satisfy the demand for water this summer for all users. During this season, the demand for water is double than usual. This loan will also meet the demand for future connections. In the photo are Jorge and Serapio, who are in charge of this water source and managing this project, and who are co-signers on the loan.
