Adama's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to purchase sugar, tea, and various other grocery items to sell.
Adama's Group's story
This 'banc villageois' was created on April 22, 2007. It is composed of women sharing a solidarity out of their companionship for over five good years. The members would like to develop their revenue-generating businesses and thus improve their living conditions and to facilitate their access to consumer products. The main work of these women involves small-scale commerce. They also grow crops during the rainy season. Ms. Adama, (sitting at the far right with her hand raised) is the group's representative. She is 33 years old, married, and the mother of three children, including one boy. She is active in selling grocery items that she purchases at the communal market to supply her stall in the village. With this new loan, she intends to purchase: a 50-kg sack of sugar, 2 or 3 boxes of tea, and a variety of other grocery items. The profits from her work will enable her to increase her savings and to help her husband to meet the needs of the family.
