A loan helped to buy medicine at wholesale.

Xiomara's story

Xiomara, 36, is married to José and they have three children living with them in their house. Xiomara has had a pharmacy for nine years and thanks to her trustworthy suppliers she manages to obtain medicine for her small business to benefit the population. She offers her distinguished clientele a wide variety of medicine, both brand name and generic, at the most affordable prices since among her customers are people of low economic resources. She also provides injection and nutrition services and other suitable attention. Her long-term objective is aimed at expanding the business turning it into a large health center that includes social services for the most humble members of the local population. This is her third Kiva loan and she feels grateful for the financial support she gets to continue forward. She also commits to make her payments punctually. On this occasion, she’d like 3,500 new soles to buy medicine at wholesale for her business.
