Carmen Nieves's story
Carmen is a 28 year old woman who lives in Pisco with her small son who she loves and is her main reason for living. She is a very friendly, hard-working and enthusiastic person who dedicates all her efforts to helping her family get ahead, as she is both father and mother for her son. Sadly because of a lack of economic resources and because of the need to work, Carmen couldn't study the Business Administration career she wanted. By her own initiative, Carmen works in her small business selling artisan handicrafts. She works every day for approximately 10 hours and believes that her business is going well due to her effort and dedication. Carmen is grateful to the Kiva supporters, as thanks to the help provided she will buy a greater variety of merchandise, such as decorative rocks, Incan decorations, decorative plates and other items. In this way Carmen will have her business better stocked, thus she will continue working and trying to achieve her great dream of providing an education to her son.
