Novissi-Afagnan Group's story

Novissi-Afagnan is a solidarity group of men and women involved in agriculture (growing corn, tomatoes, peppers, ...), retail trading, livestock farming and sewing. Mr. Kokou has been appointed by the other members to lead them. He is a 38-year-old man who is married to a farmer and has eight children under his care of whom three attend school. This is his first loan from WAGES and this amount will help in acquiring work tools as he is a farmer. He has been working in this area for the past 13 years and is based in Aneho (located 45 km from the city of Lomé). One other person helps him with this activity. With the extra profits he wants to develop a vegetable farm and expand the area cultivated. The other members also hope to have a good crop yield so they can take better care of their families.
