Deborah's Group's story

Deborah is the leader of a group is requesting its third loan cycle with ID-Ghana. Her group is comprised of five members who run different types of businesses including selling fresh fish, cooking oil, beans, and Gari (dried cassava paste). Deborah currently runs a business selling fresh fish. She started her business with her first loan through ID-Ghana and has been doing very well. She is pictured standing second from the left in this photograph. Deborah’s group is requesting a total loan of 2,050 GHS. She will use her portion of the loan to purchase big, fresh fish from the fishing harbor in the city of Tema. Deborah will sell these fish to special order customers. This type of work allows her to earn more profit to reinvest into her business and save money too.
